Bottom line: Our diaper of choice. 3 friends also use exclusively and are happy. Pros: It actually fits all the way from newborn through toddler. One set of diapers will last a whole kid, with the possibility of going for kid #2. Yes, they are expensive to start, but you save a lot of money over time. Works like a disposable- extended family caught on. All in one = no stuffing. Cute colors. Trim fit and adjustable to fit a variety of baby sizes. Snaps last longer than the velcro (~2 year Velcro life; now only in snaps.) Cons: Snaps take longer than velcro (but also harder for baby to get off.) If you use doubler or liner, organic cotton isn't right next to baby skin anymore.) We use hemp/organic cotton doublers to get around this. 6 layers of cotton dry slowly. Soln: we bought 36 of these and use them in rotation, washing 3x per wk (8 dipes/day); 2x/wk (5-6 dipes/day); and 1x/wk (1-2 dipes/day)
