The rugs are hand-made on manual looms in an area of India that was the birthplace of yoga. The idea of a cotton mat for yoga is not new... but dates back to the origin of the practice.
The cotton can be sourced directly back to the preferred mills of the manufacturer. They use a high-grade cotton thread that's extremely strong. The dyes are natural and the residual dye water is used to irrigate fruits and vegetables that surround the manufacturing facility. No power is used in the production of these rugs. The water source is a well on the site. The cotton dries in the sun. The rugs are hand-made on manual looms by master weavers. The pride of craftsmanship is reflected by the signature of the weaver on the rug.
These versatile can be used both indoors and outdoors. While the natural
dyes may fade after extended hours in direct sunlight... the sturdy
cotton construction is not affected. Our yoga rugs carry a 15 year warranty.
